Hoberman, Goldstein & Lesser("HMGL") has the necessary resources to be fully responsive to your immediate and future needs. We are a full service accounting firm and have performed auditing, accounting, tax and management advisory services for clients in industry and government for over 70 years. Our clients represent a broad cross-section of business. They range from publicly held companies to individual entrepreneurs. We have three partners, and a total professional staff of approximately 25 people. HMGL provides both the public and private sectors with auditing, accounting, tax services, management advisory, litigation support, valuation services, financial analyses, systems, and EDP analyses.
The firm is highly regarded by banks, investment bankers and lending institutions. All services of the firm are performed in accordance with the professional and ethical pronouncements of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, We are members of the SEC Practice Section of the AICPA, and State Societies of New York and New Jersey.

Firm's Leadership
Robert Hoberman, CPA, Managing Partner
Robert earned his degree from Syracuse University. He has twenty years experience in management consulting for all types of business, structuring business deals, estate and gift planning, valuation, including the use of trusts. He also has extensive experience in data processing, systems analysis and consulting for commercial applications. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA's and the New York State of CPA's. Robert has developed an extensive work paper and financial statement preparation program that is well regarded in the industry. He has spoken before various professional groups on data processing systems and applications. He is the managing Partner of the firm.
Larry Goldstein, CPA, MST, Tax Partner
Larry has an undergraduate degree from Bradley University and completed his MS in Taxation at Baruch College. He has over twenty years of diversified tax experiense. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA's, New York State Society of CPA's, New York State Society Partnership Committee, New York State and Local committee and Fordham Tax Cadre. Formerly with the Internal Revenue Service and a tax partner at Laventhol & Horwath Larry specializes in corporate planning and structure. He has spoken before various professional groups and has written on many tax subjects. Larry has taught tax and accounting courses at Mercy College and New York University.
Steven Lesser, CPA, MBA, Audit Partner
Steve has an undergraduate degree from Queens College and a MBA from Baruch College. He has over twenty years of extensive experience in SEC reporting requirements. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA's and the New York State Society of CPA's. Formerly an audit partner at Laventhol & Horwath, Steve has spoken before various professional groups, lectured at educational seminars and has taught accounting courses at the New York Institute of Credit. He currently teaches a CPA a review course and is a qualified peer reviewer for the AICPA.
